Palm Springs Holiday Festival of Lights Parade

The annual City of Palm Springs Festival of Lights Parade will roll up Palm Canyon Drive this coming Saturday, beginning at Ramon Road at 5:45pm.  The route concludes at Tamarisk. It’s a fun event with something for all of us, including marching bands, big rigs and little rigs, floats, equestrians, and antique fire trucks. It’s a nice way to get into the holiday spirit, and it’s free. All you have to do is show up and wear something a little warm, because our evenings are cool now, after the sun goes down.

One thing I didn’t know before this year is that there will be announcers to enhance the parade at various cross streets. This could be fun, too. Here is the Festival of Lights Parade Route, also showing the announcers’ locations.
